I thought I had a problem, I got these visions in my head
So I went to see a doctor, and this is what he said.
He said “I'm glad you came to see me. You're just run down physically.
Take these and call me in the morning, don't read the side effect warning.”

But I still didn't feel better so I went to see a shrink
I said, “Tell me what the problem is...” and she said, “What do yooou think?
I'm afraid the diagnosis is a serious psychosis
So come back twice a week to see me. Relax. You’ll need twenty years therapy.”

I don't know what to believe, everybody's got a different truth for me
So forgive me for my ignorance, but what you said did not make sense
So I'll continue searching for the truth that works for me.

Twenty-two years later, I still had visions in my head
So I went to see a psychic and this is what she said
“I see a lot of bad energy, you've been sabotaged psychically.
Could be past life memories. Or maybe spirit world enemies.”

But I didn't really buy it, so I went to see the Pope.
Oh holy man help me, I'm running out of hope.
And he said, “ If I had to guess, I'd say your soul has been possessed.
Repent and maybe God will save you. Repent or pay the devil his due!”

I don't know what to believe, everybody's got a different truth for me.
So forgive me for my ignorance, but what you said did not make sense
So I'll continue searching for the truth that works for me

So I climbed the highest mountain seeking council with a wise man
He was smiling when I found him and he looked into my eyes
I told him of my problem and he soaked it up in silence
And this is all he said and how he opened up my mind
He said: “I've been sitting here waiting on this mountain meditating
For ten years waiting for a vision, now you're here to ask me how to get rid of them!”

Now I know what to believe though everybody's got a different truth for me
So the world can kiss my ignorance cause what that wise man said made sense
So I'll accept my visions as the truth that works for me
Yes I’ll accept my visions as the truth that works for me.
